Glenn Saylor, 88, passed away on Sunday, March 17,2024 at Washington Square Nursing Home surrounded by his wife and family.
Glenn was born in Middlecreek Twp. In Somerset County, PA. on February 14th, 1936, son of the late Ross Saylor and Elizabeth Baker Saylor Lepley.
After High School he joined the U.S. Airforce Basic Training at Samson Air Force Base in New York. He achieved the National Defense, Korean Services, Air Defense Achievement and Good Conduct Medals from 1952-1956.
He married Thelma (Romasberg) from Rockwood PA on December 23rd, 1956, the love of his life for 67 years. They then moved to Warren, OH where he worked for GM at Packard Electric, where he retired after 35 years.
He leaves behind the love of his 2 daughters, Karen (Timothy) Gaudio and Melinda (Robert) Millerleile; 6 Grandchildren, Timmy (Christy) Gaudio, Arleigha Gaudio, Celina Gaudio, Bobby (Melina) Millerleile, Alexis (Dan) Cox and Jacob (Colleen) Millerleile; 6 Great-Grandchildren, Isabelle, Giavonni, Sophia, Lydia, Cameron, and Vivianna.
Glenn loved camping, traveling, woodworking, building furniture and making kitchen cabinets for his family and the people in the community for 60 years.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Doris Walter and Janet Sanner.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to give thanks to Washington Square Nursing Home and Hospice of the Valley.
Calling hours will take place on Thursday, March 21st, 2024, from 12pm-1pm with Funeral services to follow from 1pm-2pm at Crown Hill Burial Park Chapel and Mausoleum in Vienna, Ohio
