Thomas H. Hilterman
1935 – 2017
Thomas H. Hilterman, 81, of Howland Village, Warren, OH, died peacefully on Sat. Jan. 7, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic.
Tom was born March 27, 1935 in Warren, OH, the oldest son of Tom and Emma Lou Hilterman. He spent his early years in Santa Monica, CA. The family moved back to Warren in 1945 and Tom graduated from Howland High School in 1953. He married his high school sweetheart, Barbara (Kibler) in September, 1953.
Tom graduated from Clarks Summit University in 1970. He was a Baptist Pastor, serving in churches in Wisconsin, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and California.
Tom never met a stranger. His happy whistle always signaled he was approaching, and you would soon be the recipient of his exuberant greeting.
In addition to his wife of 63 years, Barbara, he is survived by three sons, Thomas (Denise), of Carlisle, PA, Ronald (Barbara), of Auburn, AL, Gregory (Elizabeth), of Chino, CA; a brother, Robert (Joan) of West Palm Beach, FL; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 6:30 pm, at Crown Hill Burial Park Chapel, Vienna, OH. Friends may call at the Chapel from 4:30 to 6:30, prior to the service.

Denise J. Baldine
Vienna – Denise J. Baldine, 65, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017, at St. Joseph Mercy Health in Warren, OH.
Denise was born October 31, 1951, the daughter of Michael Chuey and Mary Welsh Chuey.
She was a graduate of Hubbard High School and worked for Progressive Business Publications for 10 years as a Senior Sales Representative. Denise was a loving mother and grandmother. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her crafts.
Her first husband, George A. Halloran passed away in 1988. She married Thomas M. Baldine on October 16, 1991. Thomas died on August 7, 2006.
Denise leaves behind two daughters; Desiree H. Baldine of Vienna, and Michelle and son-in-law Anthony Scanavino of Mexico, MO, a sister, Janice (Peter) Fry, and Michelle’s son, Emille R. Scanavino.
Besides her husbands, Denise was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Michael J. Chuey, and a son, Michael Baldine.
Calling hours will be in the Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna from noon until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 25, immediately followed by the funeral service at 1:00. Burial will be in the Crown Hill Burial Park.

Harry D. Lawrence
Leavittsburg - Harry (Sweet) D. Lawrence, 75, of Leavittsburg, OH went to meet his loving and devoted wife Pat on Monday, January 23, 2017. Reunited and it feels so good!
He was born on March 9, 1941 to Donald and Virginia (Martin) Lawrence.
Harry retired from General Motors in Lordstown. He served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany. He was best known for his love of the outdoors where he enjoyed camping, boating, fishing and hunting. His other interests included bowling, wine making and feeding the wild birds. He was a past president of the “Mosquito Lake Friends Group” and of the Eagles Club in Ravenna.
Harry so loved celebrating Birthdays and Holidays that he even invented a few occasions just to get the family together.
He married the love of his life, Patricia Judy, on August 4, 1962. Together they had two children. Their daughter, Lisa Marie (Bill) Kehres of Diamond and son, Harry D. Lawrence of Ravenna are left to cherish his memory. He is also survived by a brother Dennis (Butch) C. Lawrence of Leavittsburg and grandchildren; Joshua B. Schneider of Akron, Stephanie (Andy) Kristoff of Garretsville, Eric S. Schneider of Akron, Clarence (Melody) Kehres of Lancaster, CA and Brian (Monica) Kehres of Tallmadge and their nine great-grandchildren.
Harry was preceded in death by his beloved wife on August 12, 2005.
He has touched the hearts of many and will be missed by all.

Calling hours will be held in the Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna on Thursday, January 26 from 6 to 8 pm. Viewing will be Friday January 27 at noon until 1:00 pm with the funeral service immediately following at 1:00. Burial will be at the Crown Hill Burial Park.

Jean L. Ellis
1935 – 2017
Warren - Jean Lorraine Ellis, 81, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Hospice House surrounded by her family.
Jean was born October 13, 1935, in Warren, OH, the daughter of the late Lester and Morella Williamson.
She attended Warren G. Harding High School. Jean retired from Packard Electric.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was a lifelong, dedicated follower of Christ.
She enjoyed cross-stitching, (especially angels), cooking special dishes and baking. But most of all spending time with her family. She was loved by many and was most commonly known as Grandma Jean.
Jean is survived by her children, Robert J. (Holly) Ellis of Cortland, Lorraine (Joseph) Costarella of Girard, and Brian P. (Eva) Ellis of Canfield; eight grandchildren, Sara, Michael, David, Brandon, Toni Ann, and Rachele; and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Dakota.
She was married to Robert (Tiny) Ellis, who preceded her in death, along with her parents and a brother, Donald James Williamson.
Calling hours for Jean will be Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm, with a funeral service to begin at 1 pm, at Crown Hill Burial Park Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna.

Mary Lou Bates
1940 – 2017
Brookfield- Mary Lou Bates, 76, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at her home in Brookfield.
She was born February 24, 1940 in Sharon, PA the daughter of Stanley and Mildred (Krohe) Amon.
Mary Lou attended Sharon High School and retired from Packard Electric in 1995 after 30 years of service. She loved the outdoors and all things nature especially all of her flowers and plants. Reading brought her the greatest pleasure. Her heart was full of love for her family and friends, and all she came to know.
She is survived by a son, Doug (Christine) Bates and a daughter, Tracy (Moe) Kline. Also left behind to cherish her memory are three sisters; Carol (Oscar) Mehler of Sharpsville, PA, Betty (Nick) Simko, and Shirley Gotch both of Hermitage, PA. and their five grandchildren; Chris Kline, Brandon Kline and Katie Kline all from Irwin, PA and Garrett Bates and Christopher Bates from Columbus, OH.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Don Bates, in 2002.
Calling hours will be held in Vienna at the Crown Hill Mausoleum Chapel on Friday, February 3, 2017 from noon until 1:00 PM with the funeral service to begin at 1:00. Interment will be in the Crown Hill Burial Park.
