Barbara E. Bianco

1936 - 2016


Barbara BiancoSalem - Barbara E. Bianco, 80, died Sunday, September 4, 2016 at     Auburn Skilled Nursing Home in Salem, OH.

Barbara was born January 15, 1936 in Niles, the daughter of David and Burdella Crytzer.

She was a graduate of Niles High School and worked 15 years for St.       Joseph’s Hospital in Warren.

Barbara was a devoted Baptist and played the piano for her church    services. After raising her own five children, she then became a lifelong nanny. Her favorite pastime was traveling the entire United States.

She married William Web Bianco on March 31, 1956. William passed away in October of 2014.

Barbara leaves behind four sons, William Bianco II of Bowie, MD, Daniel (Colleen) Bianco of Lordstown, Mark (Bobbi) Bianco of Lincoln, NE, and Harry (Teresa) Bianco of Lincoln, NE; a daughter, Deborah Bianco of Canfield; twelve grandchildren: Nic, Noah, Jimmy, Joel, Luey, Lisa, Drake, James, Janee, Neicha, Barbara and Toni; eight great-grandchildren: Dairek, Elizabeth, Keaden, Mick, Angellina, Harry, Maggie and Violet; and several nieces and nephews. 

Her husband, William, and her daughter-in-law, Judy preceded her in death.

Calling hours will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, and from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, with the funeral service to follow at noon on Saturday at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna. The Reverend Neil Appell will officiate.

Burial will follow in Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.

Donald G. Galayde

1937 - 2016

Southington - Donald G. Galayde, 79, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016 at Heather Hill Care Communities, in Chardon, OH.

Donald was born January 26, 1937 in Warren, OH, the son of Stephen H. and Lucy Mae (Yates) Galayde.

He was a 1955 graduate of Jackson Milton High School, and later Donald served in the United States Army. He was employed by Copperweld Steel for 30 years and retired as a machine shop foreman. Donald later worked 14 years for Hiram College Physical Plant.

Donald was a member of the Carroll F. Clapp Masonic Lodge for 55 years and the Valley of Youngstown Scottish Rite for 45 years.

Survivors include sons, Stephen D. Galayde of Garrettsville, Aaron G. Galayde of Yakima, WA, and Scott R. Galayde of Garrettsville; a brother, Robert S. Galayde, of Pataskala, OH; and seven grandchildren, Dakota, Alexander, Madeline, Ruby, Caillean, Laina and Nathan. 

All funeral services for Donald will be private.

Burial will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.

Roberta Ashe

1938 - 2016

Roberta AsheWarren - Roberta K. Ashe, 78, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016, at    Shepherd of the Valley.

Roberta was born in Sharon, PA, January 5, 1938, the daughter of Bert and Ruth (Warwick) Kerr.

She was a graduate of Jamestown High School in PA. 

Roberta was a member of the Howland Methodist Church and Warren Town Hall. She was also a member of several garden clubs and a   volunteer and member of the Elks Club for many years.

Roberta was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed playing golf, especially when she beat her husband. She loved traveling and enjoyed crafts and needlework. Mostly, she relished meeting new people and making new friends wherever she went.

Surviving Roberta is her husband, Robert Ashe, whom she married on Nov. 15, 1958; a daughter, Karen (Andy) Baumanis, of Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Carolyn Roberts, of Sharpsville, PA; and a grandson, Tyler Baumanis, of Manhattan Beach, CA.

Visitation for Roberta will be held Wednesday, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm, at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna.

Burial will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park.
