Marion L. Tenney

1929 - 2014

Leavittsburg - Marion L. Tenney, 84, of Leavittsburg, died Friday, September 5, 2014 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.

Mr. Tenney was born December 30, 1929, in Philippi, West Virginia, the son of Frank Lloyd and Ida Mae Tenney.

He was employed at Heckett Engineering for 32 years, retiring in 1995.

Mr. Tenney was a loving and caring Christian man, and was an avid motorcycle rider his whole life. 

He was the past president of Road Runners MC and Master of the Leavittsburg Grange.

He leaves behind three sons, Daniel Tenney of Warren, Dennis (Heather) Tenney of Leavittsburg and Melvin Tenney of Niles; a daughter Marian, of Niles; and 18 grandchildren, two of which he cared for and raised, and was the love of his life, Zack and Victor Tenney; and 28  great-grandchildren.

His loving wife, Shirley Ann Tenney; two sons, Roger and David Tenney, a daughter, Gloria; and 12 brothers and sisters, preceding Mr. Tenney in death  

Calling hours for Mr. Tenney will be held Tuesday, from 6 to 8 pm at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna, and Wednesday from 10 to 11 am, with the funeral service to begin at 11am, also at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna.

Thelma M. Long

1921 - 2014


Thelma LongWarren - Thelma M. Long, 93, of Warren, died at her residence early Thursday morning, September 11, 2014
 
Thelma was born September 8, 1921, in Greenwich,  PA, the daughter of Ernest and Ethel (Cook) Patterson.
 
She married David C. Long, September 3, 1938. Mr. Long died in 1992.
 
Surviving Thelma are 11 children, Helen (John) Malone, Ethel Williams, Elsie (Terry) Flanigan, Dorothy (Rusty) Shearer, Alfred (Penny) Long, Thomas (Joyce) Long, Ernest (Elisa) Long,  Diana Long, Carol (Tom) Pawcio, Larry (Angie) Long, Betty (Lewis) Grove; one brother, Lawrence Patterson; and several Grandchildren  Great grandchildren and Great-great grandchildren .
 
Her husband, David C., and two sons, Leo and David W. Long preceded her in death.
 
Calling hours will be held Monday, from 5 to 7 pm, and from 12 to 1 pm Tuesday, with the service to follow at 1 pm at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna. 
Rev. John Rutherford will be officiating the service.

William R. Wooten

1934 - 2014


William WootenVienna -  William R. Wooten, 79, of Vienna, died Thursday, September 11, 2014, at Campus Health Care in Liberty Twp.

Mr. Wooten was born October 3, 1934 in Youngstown, the son of George and Julia (Bishop) Wooten.

He worked as a roofer for 50 years, retiring in 1990.

William’s first marriage, to Aurelia Hannis, was on March 2, 1957. 

His partner of 35 years, Jean Augustinsky, died in February of 2012.

William enjoyed building cars and going to car shows. He was a big fan of NASCAR and he loved to play botchy and just being with his family and friends.

He leaves behind four daughters, Georgia Silver, of Youngstown, Carol Schofield of Boardman, Patty Johnson of Rock Hill, SC, and Marcy Dickey of Youngstown; 11 grandchildren, Denise Green, Angela Cochran, Darlene Schofield, Stephanie Dickey, John Dickey, Billy Johnson, Bobby Dickey, Jr., Shonene Dickey, Holly Harkleroad, April Silver and Carly Silver; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

A son, Robert Dickey, a grandson, Kevin P. Silver, Jr. and his partner of 35 years, Jean Augustinsky preceded William in death.

Calling hours for William will be Friday, from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 11 am, with the funeral service to begin at 11 am at the Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna,

George M. Bucan

1941 - 2014

McDonald - George M. Bucan, 73, of McDonald, died Monday, September 15, 2014 at Shepherd of the Valley in Niles.

George was born February 22, 1941 in Youngstown, the son of Mike and Sophia (Mikacinich) Bucan.

He was a graduate of McDonald High School and later served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1967.

George was employed by Packard Electric for 30 years, retiring in 1993.

He was a member of the Amvets in Vienna, and the Naus Club. He served as a union representative, and was a past president of the Ohio Labor Press Assoc.

George was a long time baseball and softball coach and played in various bowling leagues, was an avid Cleveland sports fan. His greatest passion was attending his grand-children's sporting events.

George leaves behind a son, George Jr. (Maryann) of McDonald; a daughter, Christine (Chip) Nietert of McDonald; sisters, Katherine (Gib) Woods of Williamsfield, Bernice (Joe) Kren of Girard and Teresa (Larry) Linton of Northfield; grandchildren, Austin and Jack; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours for George will be Saturday, from 12:30 pm till 2 pm, with the service to follow at 2pm, at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna.

Thelma M. Marshall

1926 - 2014

Thelma MarshallNiles - Thelma Marshall, 88, of Niles died Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the Burton Health Care Center.

Thelma was born May 18, 1926, in Liberty, Ohio, the daughter of Lloyd and Lena (Williams) Seem.

Thelma married Walter Marshall on July 26, 1947. Walter died in        December of 2003.

She leaves behind three daughters, Sherry Thompson of Austintown, Bonnie Sasko of Niles and Dawn Hewis of Middlefield; three brothers, Kenny (Gerry) Seem of Diamond, Gordon Seem of Newton Falls and Merle (Wendy) Seem of Diamond; and thirteen grandchildren.

A son, James Marshall, a brother, Lloyd Jr. and a sister, Eleanor Rummel preceded Thelma in death.

Calling hours will be Saturday, September 20, from 5 to 6 pm with the service starting at 6 pm at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
