Alberta B. Cantelupe

1921 - 2011

Alberta Newton Falls - Alberta B. Cantelupe died early Friday morning, May 20, 2011 at Laurie Anne Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for the past three months.
 
Alberta was born November 5, 1921 in Youngstown, the daughter of Harry and Catherine (Morgan) Nicholson.
 
She was a graduate of Chaney High School and was later employed by Ohio Lamp where she worked as an assembler for 20 years.
 
Alberta was a member of the Cortland Church of Christ.
 
She leaves behind a daughter, Gloria Cool, of Warren; three grandchildren, Mark Fickes, Jeffrey (Robin) Fickes and Sherry (Brian) Alfred; and five great-grandchildren, Kimberly Fickes, Eric Alfred, David Alfred, Kaylen Fickes and Jennifer Fickes. She also leaves her beloved Poodle “Mitzi”.
 
Alberta’s husband, Chester C. Cantelupe, whom she married in 1956 died in 1985.
Also preceding Alberta is a sister, Edna Mank and three brothers, Givern, Harry and Vincent Nicholson and a son-in-law, James E. Cool.
 
Funeral services will be held Monday at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum, in Vienna at 2:00 pm, with a calling hour one hour prior to the service at 1:00 pm.
 
Selby-Morrow Funeral Home handled the arrangements.




Pasquale (Pat) Ficeti

1930 - 2011 

Warren - Pasquale (Pat) Ficeti, 80, died Monday afternoon, May 30, 2011.at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital.
 
Pat was born August 8, 1930 in Niles, the son of Vincent and Alicendrina Ficeti.
 
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After serving our country, Pat was employed by Republic Steel for 35 years, retiring in 1983 as a pipe shop foreman.
 
After Pat’s retirement he did handy-man work, and was a member of the Republic Steel Supervision Club. He enjoyed the Warren Italian Festivals, gardening and special times at family gatherings during holidays.
 
Pat leaves behind his wife, Edna (Shade) Ficeti, whom he married May 7, 1955; a son, David (Darlenee) Ficeti of Greenville, PA; a daughter, Darla (Doug) Sangregorio of Brookfield; a brother, Silvio Ficeti of Warren; and a granddaughter Danielle Ficeti.
 
His parents and two brothers, Dante and Renaldo preceded Pat in death.
 
Calling hours will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 pm, with the funeral service directly following at 1:30 pm, Saturday at the Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna, Ohio.
 
Entombment will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park.



 
Robert E. Pollard

1930 - 2011

Mooresville, NC - Robert Eugene Pollard, 80, a former resident of Warren, Ohio, passed away May 30 at his Mooresville, NC home following an extended illness.
 
Robert was born on August 30, 1930 in Champion, Ohio to Gladys (Hatch) and Raymond Pollard. 
 
He graduated from Howland High School in 1948. 
 
He served his country in the US Air Force from 1950-1954 as an airplane mechanic. Following his time in the service, he worked as an electrician at Republic Steel in Warren, Ohio for 17 years and then at Packard Electric, also in Warren, for 25 years retiring in 1991. 
 
He enjoyed square dancing with the Trumbull Spinners and was a member of the Goldwing Motorcycle Club in Warren, Ohio.
 
He was a terrific and devoted family man and was dearly loved by all. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary H. (Poland) Pollard whom he married in 1951, 3 daughters, Deborah (Dennis) Evans of NC, Linda Pollard of Vienna, Oh, and Tamara (Eric)Sutton of Mooresville, NC, a brother, Ralph Pollard of Warren, Oh, a sister, Evelyn Poff, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. 
 
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William Pollard, and a grandson, Robbie Evans.
 
Friends and family will be received at Crown-Hill Burial Park Chapel Mausoleum from 2pm to 4pm on Friday, June 3, with a service immediately following.
  
Entombment will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park.
